Anne Rice created three strong characters in her Vampire Chronicles and each of them had something,which made them shining trough the series. The brat prince Lestat was always full of "live" and his exploits were so reckless and selfish, but he got to learn about things around him in a hard way and his doings changed people and vampires around him. Marius,one of the oldest, is considered to be wise and stable, however he had dark secrets which are revealed and he was pushed to the decisions which made reader sick of him. The last but not the least is Armand. He is also the main character of the sixth volume of The Vampire Chronicles. He made his first entrance as charismatic leader of the convent called Théâtre des Vampires in the first book (in the movie he was played by Antonio Banderas who was too old for the role).
