Do you like vampire Lestat? You will get him in this book and it will make you overfed with him. Lestat is somebody about him is nice to read but you do not want to meet in person or even get in any contact with him. Lestat was always selfish and he always got what he wanted by any mean he found necessary to use. He had no remorse, no morals, but he is sexy. His turning in to the vampire went by the hard way and it influenced his craving for the search of the roots of his kind. He sacrificed practically everything in the pursuit of the origin and he nearly brought an Apocalypse to the earth. The pre revolutionary France made nice background for roaming Vampires and the tension of upcoming changes reflects upon Lestat as well. He was the child of the restless era. The episode with mad violinist was the best moment of the book and it brought homoerotic traits to the surface more than usual. Dark, hopeless and blood as I like it.
