Like a lot of biographies, this one seems clunky sometimes. The author obviously did a lot of interviews and research but the result can be choppy--and overly deterministic. You know, "He did this because of THIS. Which obviously made him do THIS." But the guy led an interesting life, and the strip was more autobiographical than I realized. The pictures are great fun to look at (like the tomboy niece who inspired Peppermint Patty).
