Very funny light fiction for the roughly nine and up crew. Set in Scotland and an imaginary near-Arctic island, Nordbergan.

Years ago, seven young academics discovered the island and decided to found a university on it. Unfortunately, one of the seven (Professor Roderick Murdo) turned out to have evil plans regarding the human race, and all the professors left after it was discovered Murdo was experimenting on children in some unspecified evil way.

And now Murdo has reappeared, and kidnapped his former friends, and it's up to three kids: Zara, Ben and Sam, to rescue six professors from Nordbergan, plus hopefully save humanity and get rid of Murdo. And it's definitely worth a couple hundred pages of reading to find out if they can do it!
