I think it was a very cute story :) Nothing to necessarily rave about, but it was nice for a relaxing read (especially since the last few books were intensely dark and/or depressing).

Of course there are the similarities that it has to Harry Potter, but you have to realize that Harry Potter also has a lot of similarities to other well-known books. Nothing is completely unique, and when you take an orphan boy and shove him into a special bording school to learn a special skill with good/bad teachers, you're going to think of Harry Potter just because it came first.

But once you get past the shallow similarities, there are deeper aspects that make this story unique. Think of it as Harry Potter's little brother - cute and quirky, but not as intense.
