I loves this book at the beginning, but didn't appreciate the ending. It felt like he threw it away, I guess I expected more and soemthing different, ii feels like he zoomed out from the scene to make a pretty picture rather than really going into it and tackling what the characters felt, he simplified it to Edward feeling regretful and Florence just vanishes. It's such a shame, because I really really liked this book for the first 2/3rds, and of course being written by Ian McEwan it had all these moments of pure glory when an emotion, feeling or idea was described just perfectly for what it was, in a simple eloquent way. :)
