I feel like I just finished an historical fiction porno. Aside from the beginning which started off promising, every chapter was about the characters getting it on with eachother. Didn't like the writing, repetitive, unclear, and just bland. Even the sex scenes left me saying "I've read better." I was really confused about why all the characters were going crazy and what Ralph's business was. But the author mentions Wisconsin Death Trip, a nonfiction title that explains Wisconsin during this time period and the craziness that was happening. So I'll give that a try.
