Graham Greene is more than an author.

He's a transporter.

This book took me someplace.

The quote, "The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation," is lived out by the "whiskey priest" and antagonized protagonist....and all the other sad sad characters.

What a tale.

What an amazing tale.

Endnote: This book reminded me how much I despise ANYTHING connected with COMMUNISM. Ugh. Horrid political philosophy...DESTROYER of LIVES.
