Little Children by Tom Perrotta
I'd been meaning to read this for a while, and man, I am SO disappointed. If I could extract the style of writing from the story in some magical way, say, a sentence here or a paragraph there, I would have liked it. But instead, each plot development seemed more obvious than the last. These characters are doomed and stupid, and not in an entertaining anti-hero way.
