argh! okay, i'll admit this was a quick read, but little more than a bodice ripper. eeek! i can't believe that someone said "pride and prejudice lives on" as part of a review for this book. wtf!!! if any austen-ness existed it was much more of the northanger abbey variety. only instead of young girl's horrific fantasies being critiqued, the fantasies were real. i find it hard to deal with period pieces when they describe cunilingus in a porn filled room. it just doesn't seem very plausible for literature of the period.
