The Mary Balogh and Nicola Cornick stories both felt rather blah, with vanilla virgin heroines and the men who love sexing them. But that's not important. The Courtney Milan story is great, and almost worth the price on its own. Lavinia and William are great contrasts for each other, each focused too closely on one aspect of their lives and neglecting another. This novella plays with the question of value vs. worth, and price vs. priceless. It's also sort of a prequel to her novel Proof by Seduction, as the hero of each appears as a supporting character in the other's story.
