** spoiler alert ** This nearly got a three star rating and there are two reasons for that.
The first is that there's something about the writing style that i find off putting, and once again there's a lack of explanation. One such example is that there are a lot of words with capital letters at the front for no apparent reason, this was rather confusing, i wasn't sure whether they were supposed to be significant or not.

The second reason was that it took quite a while to get going, i didn't really find myself unable to put it down until just under half way through, which can either make or break a book.
It's not that nothing happened in the first half, just nothing that really pulled me in, although a few instances do stand out.

On the plus side though, i found the characters, once again, easy to read about. Dru has an amazing personality and her relationship with Graves takes new twists and turns, and i loved the loyalty between them and how easily they relate to one another.
I did enjoy getting to know the Werwulf's better, they were awesome, and the subtle tackling of prejudice against the werwulf from the Djampire was brilliantly done.

The story itself, really picks up about half way through, and by the end i was left wanting the next in the series, i want to know what happens next. I just hope that the next in the series doesn't take as long for the pace to pick up.
