really liked it

An odd and powerful book that has stayed with me ever since I first read it, long ago. It tells the story of three different women who are only bound together by their loss at the hands of Zenia, their former friend. She seems to specialize in taking the money, prestige, and (especially) men from other women. Zenia returns and it begins to look like she is now after their male children as well as their partners.
