It comes in really strong, but losses some of that kinetic momentum and gets bogged down in cliches and contrivance Still, it has plenty of palpable tension, hair-trigger violence and savvy pugilism that good mystery thriller needs. Above all the two central characters (Patrick and Angie) really connect and are fully realized, enough so that the narrative can coast on their chemistry and thinly veiled love for one another.
