Lestat is back and in fine form. This time, he's taking terrifying trips into the realms of Heaven and Hell, escorted by Memnoch, the Devil. He meets God, and drinks the blood of Christ on the cross. He is in love again, with Memnoch, with David, with Dora, with Armand, with Louis, with himself.

Warning: He cries, a lot, in this. At one point lying on the ground weeping, while a dead baby lies next to him. Very distressing.

Armand puts in a heartbreaking appearance, angelic little psycho that he is. The whole thing is nicely brought together by the loss of an eye and chains in the basement. I love this book. I love Lestat.
