Oh, to be half as intelligent and well-read as the characters in this book. Much of the material went right over my head, but the story was so beautifully written, I didn't care! It contained, for me, the richest expression of characters and a life lesson gorgeously and poignantly expressed. This audiobook was perfectly narrated by a young girl and an older woman, bringing the two main characters to life in a way I can't imagine I would have experienced had I read the book. I am going to buy the book though - it's such a special and touching story, I want to have this one with me forever.
