the plot line was pretty much the same as redwall. an evil enemy is trying to tyrannize and destroy the woodlanders. this book comes before redwall (time period wise). in this book, we get to meet the famous martin the warrior. the book is still just as delightful as the first, though. the characters are exciting (my favorite being Gonff, the mousethief) and though the plot line is the same, the adventures that martin and the other characters go on is unique and exciting. i think this book has a little more spice to it as well. in redwall, the characters are generally peaceful living creatures. in mossflower, there are more fighting, warrior type characters. all in all, awesome book.
