What starts out as a classic 'mean girls' book quickly morphs into a murder mystery, a who-dunnit! The PLDs are the most popular girls at school...even though Ellen seems to be slipping. Hazel is invited to join, but she learns there are rules and expectations...what you wear, where you sit in the cafeteria, who you date, and Sylvia pulls all the strings.

Told through 'chat room' conversations, blogs, and traditional narrative, this fast-paced book keeps you guessing, and keeps you perpetually angry at the girl bullying of friends and foes. Holder must have read QUEEN BEES AND WANNABES, because I saw all the characteristics of girls in cliques. Lots of blind turns in this one kept me reading.
