Lauren's review
Then We Came to the End by Joshua Ferris
All of the characters seemed to have the same voice (negative and kind of annoying). Maybe it reminded me too much of past work situations for me to enjoy it. This book was just picked by the NY Times as one of the 10 best books of 2007.
This one was going to make my "to read" list because of a comment I saw, I think on Slate.com, who put it on its best-of-2007 list. It said this is like a manual for the TV show The Office, which makes me laugh a lot. But if all the characters are whiny, how I am supposed to care what happens to them at work?
