Anne M's review
Gerald's Game by Stephen King
This is perhaps my favorite Stephen King novel of the few I've read. It takes place almost in real time - unrelenting in the suspense. It's all about characterization. The story only works because the main character is very believable. I remember finding it impressive that the story was written by a man as the perspective is convincingly that of a female character. I don't read "thrillers" generally, but find that I rather like King's better stories. Great story-telling is to be appreciated.
