This was a quick read but a bit confusing throughout...was he insane? was he dead? was he dreaming Alma or what? did he turn into a ghost? Did the cops find both him and joanna dead with him upstairs in bed and joanna at the bottom of the stairs? did he go to jail? who killed Nadia? Did they find her body? Did he actually go insane at the age of 17 when his first true love, Holly, was taken away and he never knew if she had his child or not? All the way thru, the characters just didn't ring true, especially Jo. She was weird, not that Conrad wasn't. Also, it just lacked cohesiveness and it was neither scary nor written well. Yuck!
