An engrossing and funny book about a former trucker werewolf and his vampire buddy who have to stop a bored teenager sorceress from ending the world. Full of humanity, the book paints vivid scenes that would easily make it to the big screen. I see Bruce Campbell playing Duke, Steve Buscemi as Earl, and Mimi from the Drew Carey show playing Loretta. The whole thing would have to be quiet and deadpan to allow the humor to shine through.

The part where Duke and the sheriff talk about trying to get a movie theater or a swimming pool in order to cut down on cults is hilarious.
