The best part of this book for me was getting to see someone poke holes in King Lear, which, in my opinion, pairs extraordinary writing with one of the silliest plots of any Shakespeare play.

Other than that bit of gratification, though, I wasn't very impressed by this book. It was okay, just not as funny or as captivating as I'd hoped it would be. There were a lot of repeat gags that I thought hilarious the first time but that annoyed me with subsequent repetition. Also, the book hit a strange balance between comedy and tragedy that ended up undermining the comic effect for me.
