"I'd rather chase the sun than wait for it."

I'm so glad that Markus Zusak...exists! There are so many writers (and aspiring writers) currently publishing books and in a sea of bad writing, there he is, glorious. His writing is impeccable, inviting, vibrant, alive. It draws you in, it opens your mind, it tears you apart.

The idea behind the story of this books is brilliant. I wonder if anyone would have ever thought of writing something similar - ever. Probably not.

Yes, it could have been better and I personally would have preferred it if The Joker chapter wasn't at the end. That's where the lost star of my rating went. But other than that, I find no flaws to this book. It's just...wonderful.
Sweet.
Human.
Real.

“Sometimes people are beautiful.
Not in looks.
Not in what they say.
Just in what they are.”
