Fast read about 2 friends who spend every day of summer vacation at the Capri Beach Club. Most days they are the only two at the club, along with the handsome young man who works at the food counter. Handsome young man! how does this turn the story? Summer's end will bring changes, one is moving away and the beach club will close.

A storm brings a surprise to the murky pool; a girl, well a mermaid, named Aquamarine. She is in enjoying freedom and independence from her sisters, but being away from the salt water weakens her and is a danger to her being. She finally agrees to return to the ocean, but has a final request - she wants to meet the young man. They are smitten with each other.

Aquamarine is not a nice mermaid, but the girls are kind anyway. Her turn of character isn't defined, which bothers this reader. But it is a fun story about a mermaid.
