it was amazing

** spoiler alert ** I really enjoyed this book. I love reading about the old times and how everything was much simpler then. There were a few shocks as well to keep me on my toes, some good and some bad.
The only negative thing I could say about the book is that it was a huge jump from everyone being a happy family to everyone being torn appart and hating each other. Not sure if those pieces fitted together very well. Because that's what I loved about the book is how the family had a nice harmony and loved each other to then it turned to instant hate. Also the author described Jacob in such a nice way and to have him then turn into a monster without any warning was hard to accept.
Other than that I loved reading about all the different herbs and remedies and how women united together. It's sad that women are not like that in today's world. We seem more like competitors and enemies now, which makes you think how much the male dominated world has influenced us.
Loved it!
