Abandoned a bit before the halfway point, this book was okay... but it was too chick-lit-ish for me. There were some semi interesting bits, some semi humorous bits and a whole lot of "Meaningful Dialogue" and "Life-Changing History".
There's a whole, huge market out there of women (men? really?) who love reading about other women's trials and successes and bonding with other women and talking all night long and telling their sad secrets over a bottle of wine.
From this one experience, I'd venture to say that the author writes well. It's just the choice of subject matter that is not my thing.
