really liked it
bookshelves: memoir, italy, travel-writing
Read from April 04 to 14, 2010 , read count: 1

I enjoyed the curmudgeonly attitude about moving to Tuscany. It made a pleasant change from the usual starry-eyed anticipation that is followed by small disappointments, quirky locals, and lasting adjustment to a slower-paced life. It is this unique beginning that makes the familiar progression of the rest of the book more interesting.
