Fagan's mostly recently released book explores European human pre-history, focussing on the inter-relationship between climate and human existence. Fagan discusses the thousands of years of cave art, as might be expected, but also discusses geographical movement as the climate changed between colder and warmer period. He observes the success of what loosely be described as Cro-Magnon people in the climatic extremes, including comparisons to the Neanderthal.

Climate change and historic climate change is an expertise of Fagan's, with other books on the subject. I found this one with the focus on the nexus between Cro-Magnon people and their environment an engaging one.
