This is a great read. The intertwining of the public life of Abraham Lincoln with his less knowledgeable (fictional) private life makes this a must read. Seth Grahame has done a wonderful job in creating a world where vampires impact all walks of American life. Lincoln at an early age is driven by his desire to kill vampires, and it is this motivation that catapults him from his poor family home in Illinois to the White House. Sprinkled with anecdotes of his real life and adding a dash of the macabre helps this book hits its mark for me. I could not put it down.
