This book was the dangerous kind of fun I expect from Dahl at this point. The idea of getting even with someone really rotten, which seems to be in all of his work, was fun. But, maybe its the worrier in me, I was uncomfortable with a book that has a kid take dangerous chemicals from around the house, heat them up on, and then feed them to people and animals. As a story, its quirky and funny, but it scares me that a real child might try to do this and hurt himself or someone else.
