So far, this researcher from the Sansum Medical Research Institute in Santa Barbara has some incrdeible theories connecting Americans' sleep-deprivation habits, carbohydrate over-consumption, and prevelant major diseases. It's an evolutionary prespective on how the light bulb has lead us away from our circadian rhythms and consequently caused every major illness we humans suffer from.

I don't particularly care for her crude writing style, but I think everyone should check out her arguments (some more convincing than others). If you read it and agree, maybe we can join together and start a movement for the 10 hour sleep day.

OK, here is five months later, and I admit I couldn't finish the book. I couldn't put up with Wiley's annoying writing style-- crude and biting, and an oversimplification of the science into bad, confusing metaphors, mixed in with her own snide personal commentary. Oh, god.

Five stars for her research and ideas, zero for her writing style. Please,...more
