I don't remember when or why I added this interesting book to my "to-read" list but I'm sure glad I did. It was really fascinating. As a lifelong honey lover but, until I read this book, mostly a dunce when it came to knowing anything about how it's produced and marketed, I really enjoyed it.

The book is well written and a fast read, and broken up logically into chapters about bees, hives, flowers, beekeeping, beeswax, honey, marketing ,,, pretty much everything anyone who's curious about this subject might want to know. It's not a "how-to" book; it's more of a tribute to bees, honey and those who love them.

I would have liked a little more information about the author's personal beekeeping experiences, but some of the fun illustrations made up a bit for that. All in all, a good book for anyone looking to learn more about how honey makes its way to our tables.
