This one was slow to get going and the trial took up the first half. I don't really like reading long drawn out trials. Also this book is full of coincidences. Just unbelievably full of them. There is the heart transplant, the prosecutor knowing the killer, the delivery man who just happened to both meet the guy on trail for murder and make a delivery to his apartment. Natalie who just happens to meet the killer of her roommate from many years earlier, and even recognizes him from a small snapshot she briefly saw many years ago. Two killers happen to be in the same place at once. Too many people watch the same two shows on TV. I mean come on, there are hundreds of channels on TV. I'm also not sure why Mary Higgins Clark had two separate killers in this book that had no relation to each other. It was too much to me that the prosecutor of a murder case was being stalked by a serial killer who had nothing to do with the case she was working on. Maybe it was to throw us off so we would wonder if he wasn't who killed the girl from the other case too. If that was so, it failed. It was obvious to me that this guy had nothing to do with the other case, especially when he rattled off the names of the ex wives he killed in his mind more than once, and her name was never one of them. I pretty much figured out who killed Jamie and Natalie well before the book ended. It seems like this book consisted of ideas for two separate books and for some reason she put them both into one.

Jennifer Ciaccio MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY. I find it so hard to believe that all the right people are watching the right tv shows and phone in tips and what not.
