Amelia Peabody and family head to the Holy Land, supposedly to do some archaeology work there. In reality, they are sent prevent a German spy from finding something only they don't know what it is.

Typical Amelia Peabody story - danger to the family - especially Ramses and Amelia, dead bodies, not a lot of archaeology. The resolution of the mystery happened very quickly. Fans of the Amelia Peabody mysteries will like this, newcomers should start at the beginning of the series.
