This is a collection of all of the Sookie Stackhouse short stories. The # tell you what order they fall between the regular Sookie novels.

They are:
- Fairy Dust (Sookie #4.1) originally from Powers of Detection: Stories of Mystery & Fantasy Anthology.
- Dracula Night (Sookie #4.2) originally from Many Bloody Returns - Tales of Birthdays with Bite Anthology.
- One Word Answer (Sookie #5.1) originally from Bite Anthology
- Lucky (Sookie #7.1) originally from Unusual Suspects: Stories of Mystery & Fantasy
- Gift Wrap (Sookie #8.1) originally from Wolfsbane and Mistletoe

Reviews:

Fairy Dust: I didn't like this one. In it Sookie is asked to help the Claudine and Claude figure out who murdered their triplet Claudette. Claudine is portrayed a bit too harshly compared to how she's written throughout the series. The guilty party was a human and there is no explanation given on how they came to the knowledge of not only that Claudette was a fairy nor about how they'd know what was lethal to a fairy.

Dracula Night: I need to reread this one as she said she "tried to smooth out the edges of the story that was the most fun to write but wouldn't fit in its chronological hole no matter how I pounded." I don't like this one because Eric is portrayed as being blinded by hero worship. Having come to know Eric as we have, he is too logical a fellow to ignore historical facts (ie. that Vlad the Impaler, aka Dracula was killed and beheaded. Even a vampire can't survive a beheading.) It's an interesting little story about the party, but Eric's behavior didn't have to be so over the top as to be unbelievable.

One Word Answer: This was the best short story she's done, and very intrical to the plots of the books. This is where she learns her lost cousin is not only dead, but was a vampire when a supe-lawyer vists. The basic information is detailed in the next novel, so if you didn't read this you aren't lost but all the vivid details are lost if you missed it. Excellent!

Lucky: I found this short story rather pointless. All it is, is a tiny detective story where our pair of heroines, Amelia and Sookie, can work together to solve a mini-mystery. It wasn't very good.

Gift Wrap: I found this a delightful little story and amusing. The only thing that I didn't like was that it was highly out of character for Sookie to have sex with a man she's just met that night as a one-night stand. I understand a little fairy magic may have persuaded her, but she's been immune to Vampire's glamour attempts and with some fae blood I didn't think she'd completely lose her own will to go against her basic nature. If you forget this little bit, the rest is interesting.
