liked it
bookshelves: multiple-pov, fantasy

Re-read, several years after reading for the first time. Really liked it then, this time I was much more aware of how much repetition is involved. How many pages could be cut from each volume if the author had not felt compelled, for example, to mention how Nynaeve tugs her braid EVERY SINGLE TIME she appears, or the same for Mat being worried about Aes Sedai getting control of him, or Min being irritated that Rand is protective of her, etc. etc. etc. 100 pages? 200? Every single recurring character has idiosyncrasies that get mentioned in every scene they appear, and wow does it ever get tiresome. It's like he got paid more the more the book weighed. Ended up skimming a great deal, to get to the bits of action in between.
