Fourteen-year-old Adam Farmer appears to going on a long bike ride to see his father who is in hospital. Interspersed with his journey are recordings of interviews a doctor is conducting with Adam. The reader is not sure what is going on, but as Adam remembers more and more things start becoming clear, until the shocking conclusion.

Reaction: I Am the Cheese is an intense read. This is a good one for young adults who like psychological thrillers.
