Much hype has been created about this book so I was already wary when I picked it up. Hanif uses humor to show the repressiveness of the Zia regime and delivers an amusing and satirical take on the various conspiracy theories surrounding Zia's death - there are a couple of extremely witty and humorous moments in the book but ultimately, it fails to live up to the hype. A good read not a memorable one.
