(I really think Rachel needs a vacation.) That said, Harrison delivers another action packed Hallows book.

At first, the sheer level of action and dearth of characters was overwhelming, but by the end a strong story is pulled together.

Some storylines are kept stagnant - the role of Rachel in the pack, Ivy/Rachel's relationship, for example. However, the relationships between Rachel/Al, Rachel/Pierce, and Rachel/Trent are further fleshed out as Rachel explores her unique magical abilities.

And as always in a Hallows novel, there are a few new questions and plotlines introduced. Sometimes you just have look for them carefully.
