it was amazing

Annie has a great perspective. She explains the extraction/production/distribution/consumption/waste process in a way that's straightforward and easy to understand yet not overly simplistic. She's so right that the current system of runaway capitalism and growth-orientation are completely unsustainable and making us unhappy. The book was really motivating. Unlike other environmental books, I felt somehow more optimistic after reading it. It's going on my shelf right next to Cradle-to-Cradle (when it's not being loaned out to others!)

Elizabeth Desole There's also a wonderful cartoon video of this online-cool for the kids especially

Alice That's how I first heard of her. She also has one about bottled water that just came out on the storyofstuff.org website. Campbell loves the videos.
