A photographer captures his experiences in central Africa with the gorillas as well as the citizens in that part of the country.

The features of this book are very important and would really help children learn. There are so many pictures that help show the culture found in central Africa as well as the type of environment that is found there. The pictures show the rainforest in true fashion and the pictures of the gorillas are all while they are in the rainforest. Other features that are very important in the book are in the back of the book with the gorilla facts, websites for more information and the glossary. These features help promote exploration, especially with the websites, and they try to get children to learn more through their own discoveries.
