This is the second Discworld book, and I found it just as funny as the first, with perhaps a more straightforward plot, which I appreciated. It's very much a continuation of the first book, so I would recommend reading that one before this.

108700 Discworld is probably the only fantasy series I'd recommend not reading in chronological order - rather, read by character in chronological order. Wikipedia has a nice little chart: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D...

The Death ones remain my over-all favorites, although the Witches are a close second. Favorite Discworld books that are must-reads: Small Gods, The Truth, and Thief of Time.
