This is a children's book about a princess who doesn't enjoy princessly activities like needlepoint and dancing and gossiping. Her parents forbid her to study Latin or swordplay or magic or cooking. When her parents try to marry her off to a drip of a prince, she takes matters into her own hands and runs away to live with a dragon. An assortment of princes show up to try to rescue her, but she informs them that she doesn't need rescuing, as she is not a prisoner, and sends them away.

I thought this book was adorable, and a good role model for young girls. The princess is smart and unflappable and creative.
