I was totally unprepared for the direction this book took! I re-read the jacket again upon finishing the book and I have to say I'm glad that it didn’t mention the direction the book would take. I love being surprised like that! At first I thought it was about a woman who finds letters between Jane Austen and a Fitzwilliam Darcy and the sleuthing she does to figure out if Darcy was actually a real person. (Wouldn't that be great?) Anyway - the book is about those letters and the search for the "real" Darcy while at the same time getting to see two people fall in love in very unordinary circumstances. It was great to read about a Jane Austen who was able to be head over heels in love. It was also great to see someone appreciate her and her worth. I was totally surprised about the time traveling element in the book! It added a surprise to the book that I was not expecting. Great book - I would love to see a sequel written to it! I think it might be intriguing.
