At first I wasn't thrilled by this book. I got the feeling that the author wasn't someone I would like if we met. But, the more I read, the more I could relate to her. I was also single in my early thirties, and just rolled my eyes at her constant navel-gazing. I didn't have that luxury, I had a small child to care for. But, then I could relate to her complaints that the bar/club scene was too young and pointless and how all men her own age were either married or gay. In the end, I enjoyed the book and learned a lot about life in India today.
