really liked it

Like Lerris, Dorrin is exiled from Recluse because he wants to use his blacksmith ability to create mechanical machines. Unfortunately, he cannot escape from the takeover of his new home from the White chaos magicians. He must manage to make enough money to feed and clothe those he can while still having enough money to create the machines he knows he must. Dorrin even has to teach himself about order and machines because what he is attempting has never been tried before (or at least not at this scale).

Interesting read and the plot might actually be better than The Magic of Recluse, but I was not as interested in smithing as woodworking.
