I should put this on a "re-reading" list, because I'm going through this book for the third time. I've read a few of Greg Iles' books, but I have not been so affected by a novel in quite some time as I have Turning Angel. Unlike most modern authors, who are only looking to sell books (you can't honestly tell me that James Patterson writes as many books as he does a year because he's in it just for the sake of the craft), and unlike most modern novels, which are written for a cheap, quick thrill...Iles' Turning Angel is a masterpiece. While it may not exactly be what some consider "literature", it is certainly a profound, moving work that makes you question our society's boundaries and what we consider inappropriate behavior...and also what we think of love.
