My review of all the Harry Potter books have been about the same, and the Deatly Hallows is no different. I think this book could have been a lot shorter. Oh, I still flipped pages as fast and I could, but seemed to be looking for the next bit of action. I really enjoyed this book, and was very satisfied with the tying up of all the lose ends.

I thought the series as a whole really held together well. The only character and story line I had any problem with was Cho. Why was she in this? In the end, she could have been left out and it wouldn't have made any difference. Oh well, I like that J.K. didn't talk down to youth readers. I like that she used big words. I like that she didn't coddle Harry, and I like that she was so willing to tackle big issues, like death. I'm really looking forward to reading these with my kids someday. 3 1/2 may be too young?
