This second book in this trilogy was even better than the first. It follows the dual tales of two Knights of the Word, Logan Tom and Angel Perez, as they try to protect a group of lost children and help some of the elves recover the Elfstones and the Loden Stone.
There's much more of a tie in with the Shannara series in this book than the last. I enjoyed making the connections and I appreciate Brooks' ongoing theme of youngsters coming to age and assuming their responsibilities.
